(s)he blinded me with science!

Coming up on the electrogeek radar, in San Jose, the SJStage adaptation of the Electric Company's Brilliant! The Blinding Enlightenment of Nikola Tesla.

The best work I've ever seen on the engineering culture and context of Edison's work, Bazerman's The Languages of Edison's Light, doesn't even mention the rivalry that pushed Tesla into the rank of 'crackpot' in the later public eye.

Of course, when I think of Tesla, I immediately hear the booming voice of the Digital Circus from ZBS's Ruby the Galactic Gumshoe, invoking Tesla as their Patron Saint: "FREE ELECTRICITY FOR EVERYBODY!!!" Ah, Nikola, we hardly knew thee.
